Are you passionate about filmmaking and music? Do you want to be part of a vibrant community of independent artists and creators? Look no further! Reverie is a cooperative media company dedicated to vertical integration in the production of community centered art, and we’re looking for talented individuals like you to come play with us!
About Reverie
At Reverie, we believe in the power of collaboration and creativity. Our mission is to support and promote independent filmmakers and musicians by providing a platform for artistic expression and collaboration. We offer opportunities for members to get involved in all aspects of production, from acting and directing to cinematography and music composition. And while all of our productions adopt the deferred payment model – we are passionate about putting in the work collectively to get paid for our work. All of our Chicago productions will be released initially on Youtube. Once Chi Girls TV is monetized, Reverie will split all payments among cast and crew according to how much time you put into the production.
We also plan to capitalize on marketing opportunities to create cross-promotional content – for instance, if a cast or crew member has a product (e.g. books, clothing, services, music) – we can craft the script to ensure proper representation for your product in order to put more money DIRECTLY in your pocket. We will also create bonus content and offer livestreams on our Chi Girls TV Patreon page. All revenue from Patreon will be spilt according to time equity invested in Reverie, similar to Youtube. We also encourage coop members to create their own social media pages to engage directly with the audience as they fall in love with the character that you play in each production. The more effort that you put in, the bigger the fan base you create – which helps us to attract more Patreon members to get you paid more.
All of our productions will have original merch created and offered for sale on the Chi Girls TV website, offering an additional stream of income. As our viewership grows, we anticipate attracting sponsorship revenue from local businesses, as well as interest in wider distribution on platforms such as Amazon Video and Tubi.
How to Join
Becoming a member of Reverie is easy and free! Simply audition for a role or apply for a crew position in one of our upcoming productions. Once you’re selected to be part of a project, you’ll automatically become eligible for profit sharing based on the time and effort you contribute. Come to our first casting call on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11-4p @ King Library Meeting Room – 3436 S. King Drive to meet us and try out!
